Politics…
As I sit and watch Home Alone 2 I am hit with a thought….
Can you have an open mind and not be one sided about politics, meaning can you see what the candidates are about, all the good about them and the issues they stand behind or are people too caught up in drawing party lines. I mean really if you are a republican are you going to be so hard core that you will bash every democrat and find anything wrong with them that you can, not finding any positive or if you are democrat will you stop at no end to find the bad things about the republicans.
What if you are one of those hard core democrats and you only agree with 1 issue that a democrat candidate and the republican you agree with on several issues would you still vote democrat? Or if you are republican would you still vote even if you didn’t agree with the issues the parties candidate stood for? If so are you really doing a favor for your country.
Why is it that politics get everyone so heated and they feel the need to ‘bash’ the opposite parties candidate, do they think it will make others go “oh i see what you are saying i am changing my vote” Really it is immature and stupid and makes me personally be turned off from the complaining or “bashing” party, even if it is the party I am registered under. It sickens me that people let simple political questions put them in “fight” mode
Shouldn’t we be trying to learn all we can to make an informed decision instead of pointing out everything wrong with the candidates we have.

Politics and religion both do this to people. Most people who are a part of any organization, whether it be a religious affiliation, political group, or even a sorority tend to get pushy about their group. Ya know?
People forget about dissecting the facts about each organization. Also, people tend to have a hard time accepting that everyone has a different stance on different issues.
I know for me, I vote for the candidate who believes in what I believe in the most. I look at where they stand on issues I care about. I make a pros and cons list, and for me, there are always more pros on the democratic side. There has been one year I had more pros on the republican side, and I voted that way.
I realized, though, that a lot of people just vote for their party.
