Fantastic Reads Friday

Submitted by on October 24, 2008 – 11:39 am8 Comments

Hooray for some great blog reads. But before I start a question I want you to ponder….Do you think your friendships you meet online are real or are they just”internet” friendships? What if your “real life” friends treat you worse than your “internet” friends, do you stand by them or just let them go and move on? I vote option B, a real friend wouldn’t treat you like shit and in my opinion if a person you meet on the internet treats you with more respect and nicer than someone you know in real life I would much rather have the internet friendship. What about you?

Okay now onto this weeks Fantastic Reads:

Following In My Shoes: To Whom It May Concern=Hubby
~ Rachel tells us all about how proud she is of hubby for kicking it into gear early this year for presents!

Sex Diaries of a Mom: An Unfavorable Love Affair
~ Get this moms ponderings on why men tend to lean to this for fun occasionally.

The Wise Young Mommy: Baby Steps to Going Green ~ We could all do a few things for our enviroment and this blogger tells you some tips to get started.

The Daily Blonde: I am the Last American Coffee Virgin ~ I must get this blogger a Starbucks soon, I can’t imagine life without it.

One Crazy Chick: Spanglish 101 ~ Doesn’t it just suck when you have to admit hubby was right

Outnumbered Two to One: Bad Mommy Moments, Joining the Ranks ~ Well this mommy reminds me of myself, I too let my children watch t.v.

A Womb at the Inn (sane): Suffering from the Unseen
~ A very touching post that I related to more than I could say. I love how open she is for us to read, and hopefully it will help many others that are dealing with depression to see that it will all be okay.

Mamma Dawg: Stripper 101 Verdict ~ Read about Mamma D’s fun day at stripper class.

Twofer The Price of One: Dear Mr. Service Manager at the Car Dealership ~ Hmm I think this blogger encompasses all the feelings of those of us who have had to deal with getting a car fixed.

The Neurotic Mom: Grilled Cheese can be fun ~ Mmmm I think I just may have grilled cheese for lunch today.

Okay blog readers go get your read on and of course check back every friday for more fantastic reads.

i’m going with option B. i talk about my bloggy friends more than my “real” friends. and i never refer to you ladies as my “bloggy friends”. i just say “my friend”. and i have more friends that i know online than i have IRL. i’m ok with that. you’re all much more fun anyway!!! damn, there i go with the exclamation marks again!

so who does some one have to kill to make your list?
as for friends, I just kinda figure any friend can turn on you anytime. it’s the risk of friends – internet or real life.

I met some of my BEST friends ever online when I was pregnant with my youngest son! Sometimes “real life” friends turn out to be more trouble than they are worth and just because someone is local doesn’t make them a better friend!

I totally agree with all of you. my online friends (which btw i consider to be real) have treated me much better than those that I have known in real life. I have gotten several close friends through blogging and online forums. It just sucks sometimes that those you have known for a long time in real life end up being the ones that crap on you the most. Guess it goes to show a persons true character huh.
