Keurig: A Coffee Lover’s Fantasy

Submitted by on January 29, 2009 – 8:42 pm10 Comments

I was beside myself when I had the chance to review a Keurig. You see I am an avid coffee lover and frankly I spent way too much money at Starbuck’s. You see I like good coffee and I have tried everything from regular coffee makers (making more than one cup at a time and it got wasted)to the Senseo coffee maker (a one cup maker but the coffee just wasn’t the best to me). Now don’t get me wrong, they got me through but when I wanted a really good cup of coffee I always went to Starbuck’s. My Starbuck’s days however I am proud to say are going to be long gone soon.
A little about Keurig“>Keurig (taken from their site):

The word “keurig” is derived from the Dutch word for excellence, and it is our promise to you. Excellence guides everything we do, from our patented single-cup brewing technology, to the gourmet brands of coffee and tea that are packaged in our K-Cup® portion packs, to our customer service.
Today, Keurig® is the leading single-cup brewing system in North America-for both At Home and Away From Home. Now, you can enjoy a fresh cup of gourmet coffee or tea, and hot cocoa Keurig Brewed® in less than a minute, without any set-up or clean-up. Keurig’s popular coffee, tea and hot cocoa brands offer hundreds of K-Cups® to choose from, so everyone can have their favorite variety.

Feast your eyes on this beauty:

The Keurig Platinum Brewer has a welcome place in my home. Not only is it appealing just from the sleek look but it’s features are amazing:
~Offers five cup size options for brewing. So you can pick your cup size whether you like stronger small cups (even an iced coffee setting) or travel size mugs.
~ Auto On/Off
~ Digital Clock
~ Adjustable Temperature Control
~ 60 oz. removable water reservoir, which holds up to 10 cups before refilling.
~ Removable drip tray making clean up easy and allows you to fit your travel sized mugs easily.
~ Blue Lit LCD display and blue lit water reservoir (perfect for those middle of the night cravings).
Keurig has managed to make a machine that is not only sleek but simply one of the most easy to use coffee brewers on the market. I don’t know about you but I am not one that likes to hassle over measuring and scooping, so the k-cups that go in the Keurig were perfect for me. All you have to do is drop the premeasured cup of your favorite flavor in the holder, press down and voila that’s it. Pick the size cup you would like and press brew. Simple, easy and ready in less than a minute at the temperature of your choosing. Once you are done you simply remove the k-cup and toss, no mess and no fuss.
Whether you love coffee, hot chocolate or tea, Keurig has you covered. You may be a coffee pro or just someone who likes the very occasional cup of coffee, regardless of how often you drink coffee, Keurig is right for anyone who drinks hot (or even iced) drinks at all. With everything from the Mini Personal Brewer which could be for the less serious of hot beverage drinkers to the Breville Brewing System for the more serious coffee drinker who wants filtered water to make sure the taste is always perfect, Keurig is sure to have something you will love.
