Wordless Wednesday: Ice Storm 2009

Submitted by on January 28, 2009 – 2:41 pm37 Comments

Today’s Wordless Wednesday is what we have been dealing with over the past 2 days. The ice is around a tree branch is at least 1 inch thick in diameter pretty much anywhere it had built up and the tree you see used to be a big beauiful tree in front of our house and well now you can’t really see our house because it has fallen and cracked and broken. Right now we can’t even get out of our front door if we need to go anywhere.

These are a few of our back yard, trees down everywhere, the kids won’t be playing out there for awhile and our trampoline enclosure was crushed:

This is what we encounter when we try to go out our front door:

You got it a lot worse than we did this time. Your pictures look like our pictures from Dec. 07. (Oklahoma) This time was bad but not THAT bad.

It will take you forever to get all that cleaned up. It took Tulsa a year to clean up the mess.

    Stay warm! :)

Oh wow – you poor thing! You can’t even leave your house? Do you want to come and stay with me for awhile (if you can find a way out?). It’s about 70 degrees here in Cali right now, but it gets really cold here at night (in the 30′s). I know, I know, you’re not impressed with our “cold” weather!
