TUesday’s Tidbits: Invastion of the Hashtag Snatchers

Submitted by Toni on September 28, 2009 – 1:00 pm9 Comments

My thoughts on twitter hashtag spammers. They suck if they are being rude or bashing others in my opinion!

So what are your thoughts on hashtag invaders ? Go ahead comment away with what you really want to say to them.

Have a great Monday or Tuesday whenever you are watching this.

I so not what you mean. I have a sexavation hashtag for my sexavation series but luckily I don’t get any spammers in it or on my site. I was so worried about that.

Thank you for your comment today on Nestle Family! I hate that people invade the events so negatively. I hope you have a good trip, regardless of the #hashtaghaters (hey, is that a tag yet?)

I like that you didn’t attack anyone BACK, or really comment too much on the issues they are discussing. I’ve read some blogs with some kind of distasteful commentary in regards to the issues that made me uncomfortable. I agree – if *activists* can’t at least be respectful how do they think they are EVER going to gain the attention of others?

I’ve been saying that since the time I heard about this first… What good do they think they are going to do by offending people and bashing them? Um, nada. KUDOS to you for keeping your class. I think it’s stupid for people to attack others for the sake of a “cause” – they aren’t helping that cause at all. They are damaging any chance they have at being heard by processing their passion that way.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I commend you for not reciprocating the disrespect. I have been disappointed seeing the back and forth silliness lately. I understand why they are passionate about the claims against Nestle, BUT I haven’t seen anything present-day to convince me that their practices are any more questionable than any other company. There are things about ANY organization we could pick apart and protest if we just really needed something to do with our time…
