Whitney Houston, Another Music Icon Gone Too Soon
February 11, 2012 – 8:31 pm | 2 Comments

Probably one of the most iconic performers in my young years along with Michael Jackson was Whitney Houston. Today the music world has suffered another loss. I got the AP update on my phone and my heart just dropped at the news of Whitney Houston’s death, and yes yours truly here teared up.

Alice.Com Making Shopping Easier

Submitted by on October 11, 2009 – 10:30 pm2 Comments

Alice.Com Recently I was contacted and asked if I would like to have an Alice.com shopping experience.  As a woman who loves to shop for everything from groceries to make-up, I did not have to be asked twice.  Provided with a $25.00 credit to Alice.com I opened an account and started looking around the site.

The first thing I noticed was the slick look and feel of the site.  Very easy to navigate with several ways such as by room (pantry, make-up counter, nursery needs, and more) as well as by brands, best deals and green/organic product.  Alice.com makes shopping a fun and easy experience.

You start by creating your profile and adding things such as the household people.  In our house we have one adult male, 2 male children, 1 adult female and 1 female child (no infants or toddlers here).  So now Alice.com knows in what categories I will be gravitating toward and that I won’t be needing diapers anytime soon (or let’s go with never again).  After creating a profile it’s time to shop.

I just got some little items this trip and I noticed right away the prices were cheaper than my grocery store.  There is a 6 item requirement but no cost requirement, so if you find 6 cheap (price-wise not quality) items you are good to go.  Oh and did I mention it’s always FREE shipping!  So with prices that may be cheaper than your local store and free shipping, tell me you are not loving Alice.com already.

Alice.comI decided to hit the pantry area.  I was ecstatic to see they had the Kellogg’s Protein Meal Bars, the Lipton White Raspberry Tea (I got 2 boxes of those) and the Eclipse Sugar-free Spearmint gum and loaded my cart right away with those items.  I was ready to check out and it informed me of the 6 item requirement but as a newbie they will let you by your first time with less than 6 items.  I used my gift card and even still have almost 10.00 left in credit.

Before I go any further, let me tell you a little bit about Alice.com (taken from their site):

Alice provides you a better way to manage all of your household essentials online. You tell Alice what you buy—choosing from great deals on 1000’s of products—and Alice goes to work. We organize all of your products, find coupons and deals for you, remind you when you might be running low, and help you order just the items you need so you can avoid that trip to the corner drugstore or the big-box store. And all this convenience comes direct to your door with free shipping included.

One of the biggest things I love about Alice.com is the way they keep your items on file and email you with reminders that it should be time to buy more.  You can set up reminders to email you when it’s time to re-order.  The product planner area is where Alice.com puts the items you buy into the time slot  they think you should need to re-order.  However to change that timeline simply drag the item to either the  2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 week intervals up to 6 months (or even not sure)  to remind you when to reorder. So for some items, the ones available on Alice.com, you will never need a shopping list again.   This is what part of the page of the Product Planner looks like:

Alice.comI love the ease of Alice.com and the way it will help me keep track of what I need and give me prices that are affordable with Free shipping.  When you go  and you see the “never run out,” “find the best price,” “always free shipping,” “eliminates store trips”, you will wonder why in the world you haven’t been using Alice.com before now.  I know I did.

With the best deals shopping option you will find amazing deals on everyday products.  In fact as I write this post Dove deodorant is on sale for $1.97 (this may not be the price once this post is up but you get my point).  Everyday you will find amazing deals on different products you can search the coupon items through % or $ off to see the great savings.

I am so glad I had the chance to review Alice.com because now I know where to look for many of the products I love.  The only thing I will say that I would love to see added but not sure it’s a real possibility is store brands, that is the only thing I would like to see but due to the deals they offer on brands I am not even sure that’s a possibility.  Alice.com makes shopping less of a hassle for me and my family and I hope it will for yours as well.  No matter what you are looking for you are sure to be able to find quite a bit of it at Alice.com.

So what are you waiting for?  Get to shopping.
