Whitney Houston, Another Music Icon Gone Too Soon
February 11, 2012 – 8:31 pm | 2 Comments

Probably one of the most iconic performers in my young years along with Michael Jackson was Whitney Houston. Today the music world has suffered another loss. I got the AP update on my phone and my heart just dropped at the news of Whitney Houston’s death, and yes yours truly here teared up.

Smucker’s UnCrustables: Great for On The Go

Submitted by on October 5, 2009 – 11:58 am2 Comments

Smucker's UnCrustables Thanks to Mom Central I recently had the chance to review Smucker’s UnCrustables.  In my family the kids are not crust friendly.  For school everyday when I am making their sandwiches it’s the tedious task of cutting the crust off.  My oldest son loved the Honey and Peanut Butter UnCrustables for lunch and snacking on them over the weekends, for soccer games and when it is just the princess and I during school days it’s an easy peasy lunch.

I love these little sandwiches as mentioned because they take the work our of removing the crust but also because they take the mess out of making the sandwich.  No more having to either lick the peanut butter, jelly, or honey off your hands or rinsing a knife off right away so the sandwich ingredients don’t stick.  They make my lunchtime routine a little less stressful.

One of the best things about the UnCrustables is they now come in wheat bread.  For some reason it is much easier to get my kids to eat the wheat with UnCrustables than it is when they see the wheat bread package from the store.  Must be a little alarm in their brain that goes off when they see the wheat bread loaf.  These thaw-and-serve sandwiches make it much easier for my family when we need to eat and run or just have a snack to curb the hunger during a road trip.   UnCrustables will definitely become one of the new staples in our house for those times when we can’t make a big meal or when we are on the road and need to grab something quick.  Perfect for little hands and yummy enough for even the picky eaters.  *Trust me, I know picky*.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Smucker’s Uncrustables and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
