Well I do know how to charge a battery and change a tire (we had to learn in drivers ed in high school to pass the class) so I’m not a big failure in the car department but in the sewing department not so much.
I do royally suck at it buttons even are a challenge for me.
So my 11 year old daughter loves Project Runway and for her birthday she tells me she wants a sewing machine and I think cool maybe I’ve got a future Coco Chanel on my hands so I find one for her..now the fun part..I’ve never used one ever….So my husband and I spend 2 hours the other night just trying to get the thing threaded!!! even with the instructions!! I had to get on youtube and find a VISUAL how to before I even got it close to working..mind you this is a beginners sewing machine too. so my failure of the week is instead of taking guitar in high school (like I did) I should have done the smart thing and taken home ec.
(ah but then I wouldn’t be able to play Tom Dooley very slowly and with tons of mistakes!!..catch 22 I guess!

LOL I am laughing and only at the very amusing video- I can’t laugh AT you cuz I too, can not charge a car battery or fix a flat- I am scared of the battery thing because we had a car a long time ago that exploded on my husband- well, not right one him but it got on his arms and stuff- NASTY! & dangerous! So, I don’t attempt it!
I can not upload video to the internet even though I have a very pricey camera that does it all (Canon)- supposedly I am just supposed to hook it in but I have no idea how to youtube or anything else (embed, etc) I also can’t “Blog”…. Yet! I am trying to learn so I can start one- So, right now- not an easy task at all- I am oblivious to any and all things that have to do with blogging- I just recently learned how to “Tweet” – Yep, internet technology has passed me over these last few years as I have worked in the corporate world of business using the internet everyday… I obviously only used a very small part of it! Ya think!?

According to my husband I can’t do anything on the computer, but what does he know? I am writing this all by myself So what if I don’t use the terminal?

Otherwise, I can’t fold a fitted sheet-or at least I can’t do it in a reasonable amount of time, which means I don’t do it. I can’t iron shirts very well and I don’t even bother to try ironing anything else. And, most recently, I can’t get out of bed this morning!

We aren’t supposed to be able to do everything…and you don’t suck just because you can’t do something. Look at all the things you do well and congraduate yourself on those.

My fails are the same. I can not do ‘boy’ things at all! Luckily, Scott finds it adorable. LOL! I too would be screwed if I was alone and got a flat tire or the battery died. Sad thing is, I have zero desire to learn how to do them myself. I am totally fine not knowing, and Scott is totally fine being the man of the house.
