Submitted by Toni on December 27, 2009 – 8:44 am8 Comments

Hello everyone and welcome to the last Quotable Sunday…of this year that is. If this is your first time joining us we hope you will continue to join in this once weekly meme. It’s a simple way to post and share some of your favorite quotes/sayings.

To join in with us simply post a new post on your site with one or more of your favorite quotes, grab the link to that post and leave it in the Mister Linky below.

This week I decided to do my quotes on New Year’s. Can you believe it is already 2010 (in a few days). Time seems to go by faster each year. Now here are my quotes for this week:

Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up late on New Year’s Eve. Middle age is when you’re forced to. ~Bill Vaughn

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves. ~Bill Vaughan

Many people look forward to the new year for a new start on old habits. ~Author Unknown

A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other. ~Author Unknown

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man. ~Benjamin Franklin

The Old Year has gone. Let the dead past bury its own dead. The New Year has taken possession of the clock of time. All hail the duties and possibilities of the coming twelve months! ~Edward Payson Powell

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right. ~Oprah Winfrey

One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things. ~John Burroughs

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of 2009 and an amazing 2010. Happy Sunday
