Squeeballs for Wii Review and Giveaway (2/1)
Giveaway is now closed! Winner will be announced in the coming days.
Here at my home we are definitely a gaming family. When I was asked if I would like to review Squeeballs Party for the Wii, the answer was absolutely. Squeeballs Party is the first Wii game put out by Performance Design Products. Not only can you get it for the Wii but also for the DS, Lite DSi, Apple iPod touch and iPhone.
A little about Squeeballs Party:
Squeeballs are 12 toys that are manufactured on a secret island somewhere in the Pacific. Before they can be sold to children around the world, the Squeeballs must be fully put to the test…to the point of destruction! With 150 mini games you are testing to the Squeeballs to make sure they are ready to be sold. You blast, slice, dice, electrocute and more the little monsters to “test” them. Every time you pass a test you advance to a new level.
Check out the Squeeballs Party video:
I admit I had a blast doing the games and loved the little monsters who are so ugly end up being adorably cute. However I will say this is not for young children. Due to the images of the monsters being sliced, electrocuted, fried, grated and hearing the squeeball cry and scream it is a little to much for small children in my opinion. However my 10 and 6 year old have enjoyed the different games and seeing how far we can make it. I admit I do not do so well on some of the challenges but I am having fun.
There are 3 different ways to play Squeeballs Party. You can play individually, multi player with up to 4 players or head to head challenges. Single player is exactly how it sounds, one person advancing through the game. Multi player is taking turns during the challenges with up to 4 players alternating. Head to head challenges are friendly competitions between two people using 2 Wii remotes.
Overall Squeeballs Party is a fun game for the children that are a little older. With colorful levels and characters this game will be fun for age appropriate children and great for family game nights. The rating of E10+ is a good rating for this game due to the bit of violence in some games. Only you can tell if your child will be okay playing this game if they are younger (and maybe even older) that the age rating.

ok I’m way past starting but they have a STARTER KIT FOR WII FIT that I’d love to have. The yoga mat is great – and not everyone has been taking classes. It also has a cool colorful neoprene sleeve that protects corners – might even keep the extender caps from falling off when you move the platform.

Hi… thanks for the review of the Squeeballs Party. Sounds great. I took a trip to the Performance Designs site, and the Energizer Flat Panel 4x Charging System looks like a convenient winner! That would sure help to handle the 4 Wii remotes we deal with. By the way, I also followed you and RT’ed from my new twitter account (@ragtimechris). Crossing my fingers that I might win…
