Whitney Houston, Another Music Icon Gone Too Soon
February 11, 2012 – 8:31 pm | 2 Comments

Probably one of the most iconic performers in my young years along with Michael Jackson was Whitney Houston. Today the music world has suffered another loss. I got the AP update on my phone and my heart just dropped at the news of Whitney Houston’s death, and yes yours truly here teared up.

Neosporin Lip Health 3 Day Challenge

Submitted by on February 2, 2010 – 2:55 pm3 Comments

Winter months are not so fun for my little lips, they usually get cracked, chapped and burn more often than I would like.  When Mom Central asked if anyone would be interested in the Neosporin Lip Health 3 Day Challenge I was definitely one that was ready to sign up.  According to their products, in 3 days you can have better moisture, less flaking and all around prettier looking lips.  Okay maybe they didn’t exactly say pretty, those are my words LOL.

With the daily hydration therapy and the overnight renewal therapy I was ready to set off and try the 3 day challenge.  Now I ended up doing a 5 day challenge in the end and here are my thoughts on Neosporin’s 3 Day Challenge Claims.  The overnight renewal therapy I absolutely loved, every night before I went to bed I dabbed a bit on and when I woke in the morning I felt like it had just been applied, it definitely locked in moisture through out the night and my lips were super soft in the mornings.  So that part of the 3 (or 5 in my case) day challenge worked beautifully.  The overnight renewal therapy comes in a little tub so you can choose the amount you want to dab on your lips.

When I started the 3 (5) day challenge the weather here was absolutely freezing and the wind was blowing and literally my lips felt like they were on fire they were so raw.  The daily hydration therapy I was anxious to use because my lips were always hurting so I wanted relief.  What I found out as I used the daily hydration therapy  was that  it didn’t quite stand up to the frigid  temperatures  and wind I was dealing with.  It worked wonderfully  when I applied it but I found myself having to apply it quite often to keep my lips moisturized.  During the day I did end up having to use  a different brand so I wouldn’t have to apply as often.

After the 5 days I did notice a subtle difference in my lips and they definitely were not burning all the time as they had been, while I did incorporate another brand I do think the Neosporin did play a big part in that.  I think when I move back to Florida and spend my days basking in the sun Neosporin daily hydration therapy and overnight renewal cream will be all I need, just here in the freezing temps I had to add a little something into the mix to get complete satisfaction.  Overall I think Neosporin daily hydration and overnight renewal are great products and they definitely get approval from me (oh and my husband loved the overnight renewal).

*I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Neosporin and received a sample of the Lip Health Overnight Renewal Therapy and the Lip Health Daily Hydration Therapy to facilitate my review and a $20 gift certificate as a thank you for my time.
