Being a Mommy…

Being a mommy means:

~ Tears of joy when seeing that new face for the first time.

~ Tears of sympathy when your child is hurt.

~ Laughter from all the memories of tickle laughs, funny sayings and goofy faces.

~ Hope that their future will be brighter than yours.

~ A life so full of love, a depth of love you never dreamed possible.

~ Frustration when they don’t heed the advice you give which is meant to save them from any pain.

~ Arms to love your child with when that hurt becomes too much.

~ Anger when they test your patience for the 100th time on something you have warned them not to do.

~ Getting pissed at the neighborhood bully who won’t leave your child alone.

~ Taking action and calling the police when that bully hits your child in the face with a rock (oh yes I did).

~ Getting your feelings hurt when your child says “eww mom I don’t want to kiss you anymore, I am too big”

~ Joy when your younger children still lets you snuggle and kiss them.

~ Fear of them experiencing any of the bad memories you had of growing up.

~ Wanting to keep them inside and never let them out to keep them from the horrors we see in the world today.

~ Needing to keep their innocence in tact for as long as possible.

~ Hoping they never make the same mistakes you did.

~ Taking a chance and let them try something new even if you are scared they will get hurt.

~ Making sure to always tell them they did their best even when they didn’t win.

And then at the end of the day realizing every emotion, frustration, happiness, sadness and anger are all worth it when I see faces like these:

To my precious Bella, Aidan and Gabriel:

Yes I get angry, yes I get frustrated, I laugh with you, I cry with you. You bring life to areas in my world that I never imagined existed. I only hope you always know you 3 are the top priority in my life and nothing will ever take your places. I hope you see the love I have for you every day and how proud I am of you all the time. I hope you listen and trust that what I say is for the best and that I only punish you to keep you from hurting yourself. I have all your best interests at heart. You 3 are my world and without you I could not exist. I love you more than words could ever express.

Love You,

    What CUTE kids!!!

I am making the rounds to SlogBite member sites and using SlogBite’s “Slog-a-Blog” to make the site choices for me, and this time your site was chosen. If you haven’t tried it you really should give it whirl.

BTW, I am in the process of making the SlogBite categories even more granular. I want to enable you, and all SB members, to create an accurate profile of your site using the SB categories to show off your best and/or your most important posts/articles. Therefore, if you have the time, please let me know what additional categories you would join if I created them. You can, and should get very specific. Take a look at SB’s category list and leave a comment as to what else you would like to see.

You should also consider joining some additional categories. The more categories you join the more exposure you get on member sites and the better your chances of being selected on SlogBite’s Slog-a-Blog game, as described above. I want SlogBite to be an accurate refection of what your site is all about, a resume of sorts. You can now add a bio as well as a site description. Just log-in and go to your home page where you can request a “View My SlogBite Profile” badge. This will direct your readers to your “Profile” page on SlogBite.
