CoolSculpting Treatment: Insider Tips {Guest Post} #sp

**Note from Toni. I am happy to share this information on CoolSculpting that was provided to me, for this partnered guest post. I have not yet had the procedure but it is something I have been looking into, so when approached to share information on the procedure I was happy to,  as it is something I am researching for myself. I hope if you are researching CoolSculpting, this article, will be informative to you**

Beautiful woman measuring her waist - high key shot in studio

I never thought I would one day be walking into a plastic surgeon’s office. I’ve always been an avid athlete. Kickboxing, paddle boarding, Pilates – you name it, I’ve probably done it. Even when I was in my best personal shape, I started noticing more and more “problem areas” appearing on my body over time – a roll here, a pinch-able area there. It was frustrating because no matter how much I exercised, they were completely resistant to my efforts. I finally decided to handle this problem once and for all, but the only question was, where to start?

Researching my options online, I came across a few sites that suggested liposuction to address excess fat. I wasn’t really in the market for plastic surgery, so I dug a little deeper looking for an alternative solution. I found an online review for CoolSculpting, a non-invasive procedure that literally freezes your fat, allowing your body to naturally expel the contents of the ruptured fat cells over time. After a few consultations with my doctor, I scheduled my first CoolSculpting treatment. A few months later, I was overjoyed with the results. The procedure contoured my problem areas, giving them a smoother and more toned look.

While the treatment was successful, there were a few lessons I learned along the way that I thought were worth sharing. Here, I’ve gathered some tricks and tips that are helpful to know if you are interested in CoolSculpting.

Pain? Piece of cake!

It’s not painful, per se, but it isn’t painless, either. During the procedure, it can be a little uncomfortable for the first few minutes because the device sucks your skin and fat between 2 panels, then delivers intense cold. The area goes numb pretty quickly, and the feeling of pressure subsides. Afterward, it’s normal to feel tingling or soreness for the next few days (similar to after a tough workout), and that’s usually temporary.

It’s not a “lunchtime” procedure

CoolSculpting is marketed as an hour long procedure, but it is possible that it will take longer than that. The truth is, one hour is the period of time carved out for each individual area. For example, one leg can take an hour, the other leg may take another hour…you get the picture. Bottom line: Don’t plan on being able to squeeze in a treatment during your one-hour lunch break.

You may want multiple treatments

If one treatment has the ability to eliminate 20 to 25% of the excess fat in the treatment area, imagine what two treatments can do. According to the website of Dr. Hasen, a plastic surgeon who specializes in CoolSculpting in Naples, FL, some patients “stack” their treatments for more effective fat reduction. He explains that a second visit can benefit most people, resulting in an additional 20 to 25% fat reduction and more dramatic results. You’ll have to wait a couple of months to have subsequent treatments, though.

Instant results: not guaranteed

Although I would have loved to be bikini-ready the weekend after my treatment, I knew that was not a realistic expectation. Full results from a CoolSculpting procedure can take an average of 2 to 3 months to emerge, some even longer. Because there is no downtime or healing period, patience is key while your body eventually eliminates the dead fat cells for good. While this is especially helpful to know beforehand, keep in mind that being within 10 to 15 pounds of your ideal goal weight may garner the best results.

Even at your healthiest, sometimes it’s easy to let those extra inches get you down. If you find yourself struggling to get rid of those trouble spots, maybe CoolSculpting is the right solution for you.  Have you ever had or considered CoolSculpting?
