It’s time for How Do You Say That vlog hop with Mama Dweeb! It’s a fun time for people from all over to “showcase” their accents. A fun way to connect with others and see the people behind the blog. I don’t really know what my accent is (I still say I don’t have one), I was born in Alabama, raised in Florida and just moved back to Florida after living in Arkansas for 8 years. So you figure it out and let me know LOL.
Here is what this week’s words/questions were:
The Words:
why, outside, chic, boutique, February, right of way, Porsche, behind, tomorrow, bye, organization
The Questions:
Pin & Pen ~ Do you say them the same or different?
What do you call a place that serves mainly alcoholic beverages?
What is the grey tape that can fix any broken objects?
What do you call someone that isn’t cool?
A phrase your grandparents always said?
What do you call a girl that acts silly and unintelligent?
Slow as a ____
Fast as a ____
Happy as a _____
My video (see if you say anything the same as I did):
Slow as a horse???!!! I have no idea what I was thinking LOL. Want to join in? Head over to Mama Dweeb and join in the fun!

You don’t sound southern much, unless you are saying your grandfather’s phrases.

Hi Toni!! So glad to see you again!
You don’t have much of an accent at all. I do say pen and pin different.
I have not heard anyone around here call it a pub. I wonder if that is a southern thing? It reminds me of Ireland though.
I loved your grandpa impression. That was really fun.
Loved it! Until next time!

Yes, you do have an accent dahling!
I can definitely detect the Arkansas accent. Really love the grandparent’s sayings- so fun! I hadn’t heard slow as a horse before and you’re the third that I’ve heard with happy as a lark phrase. I hadn’t heard either of those before today.
Nice to “meet” you!! Maybe a teeny tiny bit of an accent!
You sounded so cute when you were imitating your grandpa…
You do sound a little southern to me, especially with the pen and pin thing, come on – one has an “e” and the other has an “i”…
I love listening to these vlogs, they are so great.
Can’t wait for the next one…
