It’s no secret. I LOVE french fries. They are a weakness for me. There is just something so tasty about a cut up fried potato. The salty goodness makes my tastebuds jump for joy. While I love them I definitely make it a point to not overdo it with the french fries but they are definitely on the top of my “when I want a treat” list.
Speaking of french fries, did you know today is National Frech Fry day? You didn’t? No worries, neither did I until I got an email sharing some fun information from Wendy’s. Did you know there are so many ways to eat frech fries? Salted, unsalted, dipped in ketchup, dipped in ranch, soft, extra crispy and even dipped in a Wendy’s Frosty!!! My daughter is on board with the last way to eat them. She loves to get fries and dip them in ice cream and milk shakes as well as a frosty. Must be something about the salty and sweet. Looks like she is in some good company too, check out these numbers…
The combination of the sweet cold Wendy’s Frosty and sea salt hot French fries trend is on the rise—in fact, a recent national survey* revealed that 1 in 3 Americans (33%) have dipped a French fry into a Wendy’s Frosty. And more than 263,000 people online are talking about this!
The survey also found:
·Dipsters are typically young and hip! Two times as many 18 – 34-year-olds dip their French fries in a Wendy’s Frosty versus 45 – 64-year-olds.
·Families have jumped on the dipster wagon—nearly one of every two families (47%) have plunged their fry into a Frosty.
·Women are as likely to dip their fry into a Wendy’s Frosty as more traditional condiments like mustard, while 18 – 24-year-olds are more than twice as likely to dip their fry into a Wendy’s Frosty versus mustard, mayo or vinegar.
My daughter is onto something it seems! What about you, do you dip your fries in a Frosty?
