It’s no secret, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The meal that gears you up for what lies ahead of you each day. For my husband and I that means work, running errands (for me), taking kids to school, and, school (for him) a whole lot more. For my kids it means gearing up for a day full of focus and concentration, taking tests, learning and of course being active. I want to make sure we all have our best start. Which means breakfast is a big part of our “start”. Thankfully Kellogg’s wants to make sure as many people out there have that same start.

Breakfast plays such a big part in each persons day. Unfortunately not every child gets that. With 1 in 5 kids not getting the breakfast they deserve AND NEED, Kellogg’s wants to do something to change that. That’s where their “Share the Breakfast” campaign comes in. Kellogg’s and celebrity Taye Diggs have teamed up to reduce this number as part of the 3rd consecutive Share Breakfast Initiative.
Until April 15th we can all share a breakfast with a child in need with a few simple actions. A dollar will never leave your pocket and it won’t take more than a minute. For each of the following actions Kellogg’s will share breakfast to a kid who might otherwise go without:
Here’s how you can help:
- Watching and sharing the Great Start Videos on ShareBreakfast.com
- Sharing the public service announcement with friends
- Sharing your “share” on your Facebook page
- Posting on Twitter with the #ShareBreakfast
- Sharing and repining on Pinterest
I don’t know about you, but it breaks my heart to know there are kids who are not getting what they need. Let’s all go do our part and make sure each child is getting the start they need! Head over now and let’s make sure that we are sharing breakfast and helping others get their perfect start.
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received a product sample as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

Cereal is actually one of the few things my son will eat lately.

We are big breakfast advocates in our home. I am happy to help those in need fill their bellies, especially since it is such an easy way to give back.

My daughter will rarely eat much of anything before school, but luckily her class has snack & lunch early. I send in a protein drink for her to have at snack each day, since they were also having trouble getting her to eat early in the day.
