My daughter is such a little character and is always doing something I feel I need to share. I figure everyone can use a good laugh and it’s a great way for me to document the good times. So today I wanted to share a few of the funnies she has done lately…
We went to eat at Royal Palace, which is a buffet and hibachi grill, last night. Great food I will say. My daughters eats some food and decides she wants some of that “baby corn”. My sister then takes her up to the hibachi area to get a bit of the corn to have cooked so she can eat it. Now when one goes up to the hibachi area they usually get several things on their plate and take to the cook. Then they have it cooked to their liking and eat away. My daughter does just that but instead of a plate full of corn, she goes up to the man with ONE baby corn. Thankfully the gentleman does his job well and cooks the one tiny little corn, which my sister said was the funniest thing because he was all professional with his spatulas cooking that one little corn.
The girl brings it back to the table and has to use the restroom so she leaves her plate and heads to the restroom. While gone the waitress took her plate with the one little corn assuming she was done, much to my daughters dismay. At that point she has to go through the whole process of getting one little baby corn again followed by the cook having to cook ONE little baby corn again. I can only imagine what is going through his mind LOL. I was almost in tears when my sister was telling us the story. The kiddo kills me.
The other day we had to go to Publix to pick up some milk as well as a few other things. Upon leaving I was going to have my daughter and son both carry one bag each while I carried the milk bag. I asked Bella to pick which one was easier for her to hold and so she takes one in one hand and one in the other. I tell her “Pick and give the heavier one to Aidan, you can take the lighter one“.
After holding them and pondering for a second she responds with “I’ll just carry both”. I say to her “Well that is nice of you, isn’t that nice Aidan?“. To which she, matter of factly, responds “No mom, it’s because when I carry two this is a good workout for my muscles, both arms will get stronger this way.” Better to beat her brothers up with later? At least I had a moment where I thought she was being unselfish.
We were watching So You Think You Can Dance together and they were showcasing all the places that joined in on National Dance Day. The different cities, countries, etc. Florida popped up on the screen and she got so excited since it’s the state she lived in. Other countries flash across the screen and then Hong Kong comes up for a bit. After seeing the name she says “Hong Kong. Oh I know what that is, that is one of those really fancy streets people live on“. I giggled and then informed her Hong Kong was definitely not a street LOL. Although I guess there could be a Hong Kong street somewhere that has really fancy something or other.
The girl does not lack for entertainment value that’s for sure. She keeps me on my toes with her feistiness but never fails to make me laugh daily. What are some funnies your kids have done lately?
