Fitness is a must especially now that I am getting a bit older. My metabolism isn’t what it used to be. Luckily for me I live in an area that you can swim, run, walk, bike ride and so more other things to stay in shape. Taking the kids to the beach is a great time to stay cool and get a workout while swimming in the water. In fact I did that just the other day and could feel it in my arms and legs. Two hours fighting the waves works the muscles.
I have never really been a big fan of running in the outdoors due the fact I don’t usually know how much I have been running. On a treadmill I can keep track of the distance but I don’t get the fresh air outdoors. All that can change thanks to Map My Fitness. You can map routes previously taken to find out how much you walked/ran or you can track a future workout. Check out this screen shot of the route I want to take:
I love that I know the distance is .51 miles. So there and back would be about a mile, which is so easy for me to gauge when I want to do a multi-mile run. I love thanks to the Toyota Rav4 Adventure Club there is even more incentive to get fit.
