This is a Fashionista Event Opportunity, and is hosted by Still Blonde after all these YEARS and Modly Chic.
My mom is my hero, she is the most amazing mom on this earth, in my opinion. As a breast cancer survivor, who was just diagnosed again a few weeks ago, she inspires me beyond what I could ever express. She is strong, a fighter, a woman of faith, a giver, she is the person I will always strive to be like. When we had the chance to be a part of a fun mother/daughter campaign, we were both thrilled. What a way to start a new season in life and in the year, with fun new frocks from Monroe & Main.
We live on Florida’s sunny gulf coast, so during the spring and summer seasons, we tend to spend a lot of time at the beach. I went with the Paisley Flutter Dress. Soft, sultry top flows from hip-balancing waistband to curve-skimming skirt. Contrast hem creates length; 39″ l to shortest point. Polyester/spandex; machine wash. Made in USA and imported. Available only in Multi Print. I kept it simple and paired it with black flip flops. My flip flops are a little on the dressier side because they have a bit of an “aztec design” feel to them, but you could use simplify the look with plain flip flops. That way you could go from day at the beach, to dinner with friends in a jiffy! Add some heels and a chunky bracelet for a fun date night look!
My mom went with the Hi-Lo Print Dress. Print camouflages pleasingly over a kicky hi-low hem. 39″-48″ l for size M. Polyester/spandex; machine wash. Imported. Available only in Turquoise. Print placement may vary. My mom went a fun way with her look, by adding a long-sleeved brown shirt under it, a simple gold necklace, gold earrings, and fun turquoise flip flops, she is ready to minister (she is a pastor, along with my dad), have coffee with friends, or just spend a normal day doing one of the many things she takes on.
I love that both our dresses, were perfect for casual beach days, seriously, you will have the cutest cover-ups for your swimsuits. However, they were also perfect for meetings, nights out, days with friends. Add a shirt (like my mom did) or a jacket, put on some combat boots ( a big trend this spring) and just have fun with these dresses. I love the versatility of the these two dresses from Monroe & Main. With bright, springy colors, these are two dresses you might want to consider adding to your wardrobe.
