Something that is a must when you have a nice phone and kids who sometimes can get a little more wild than they realize is a good case. I’ve had the HTC Windows Phone 8x for a little over two months and I’ve had peace of mind when I hand it over to my kids. They can jump over to Kid’s Corner and have a blast without me worrying about the phone being damaged. Smartphones are not cheap and in the past I admit to cringing a bit when my kids wanted to play on it, thanks to the Otterbox Defender that is something I don’t do with the Windows Phone.
Features of the Otterbox Defender series case:
- Robust, 3-layer protection withstands drops, bumps and shocks
- Built-in screen protector prevents scratches
- Port covers keep out dust and debris
- Holster-style swiveling belt clip included
The Defender does add bulk to the phone but it is not unbearable. It took a little getting used but protecting my phone was important. When I get something that is nice (whether I buy it myself or receive it from someone else) I want to make sure it lasts as long as possible. The Otterbox Defender will do just that.
One of the things people are concerned about when they are using a case, aside from it being too bulky, is it messing up with the sound on a call or when using the speakers. The Otterbox Defender does not interfere in either way, both my calls and my music are still heard with perfect clarity.
I am still able to access everything on the touch screen with no interference so emailing, calling, tweeting are just a touch away. One last thing I noticed, for me, the otterbox curbed accidental touches. The buttons on the bottom of the phone were always being hit with part of my palm and since putting the Otterbox cover on that doesn’t happen. So no more typing a response and hitting the back button just to lose it all (that was frustrating LOL).
If you are looking for a phone case that will keep your phone safe be sure to check out Otterbox cases and find one that is right for you. My Windows 8 phone is so glad it’s life will be a long one thanks to the protection from Otterbox.
