Welcome to home of the original Quotable Sunday blog hop. Started in 2008, and revamping in 2011. I am looking forward to sharing quotes and reading quotes shared. If you want to join in just simply make a post on your blog with one or more of your favorite quotes (though at times I have been know to use song lyrics, movie lines, and Bible verses…I figure they are being quoted by me at the time I am sharing so they qualify) and then link up here in the linky below. You can type out the quotes, use a photo like above, video yourself sharing them or video clips of movie quotes…it’s for fun so no strict rules here LOL. If you don’t have a blog join in down in the comments.
We lost a great innovator of technology Wednesday. Steve Jobs passing definitely shook the nation and I venture to say the world. Today’s Quotable Sunday I wanted to highlight some of the quotes from Steve Jobs, a man without which, we would not have some of the amazing technology we have today. I know he has played a big part in my family’s life…
“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me.”
“My job is not to be easy on people. My jobs is to take these great people we have and to push them and make them even better.”
“We made the buttons on the screen look so good you’ll want to lick them.” (I have to say I think my macbook is pretty sexy, so I totally agree with his quote).
“We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and every one should be really excellent. Because this is our life. Life is brief, and then you die, you know? And we’ve all chosen to do this with our lives. So it better be damn good. It better be worth it.”
“I’m as proud of what we don’t do as I am of what we do.”
Steve Jobs will definitely be missed but I have no doubt in my mind Apple will continue to make him proud.
