This summer was a rainy one here in Florida, but it was still full of memories galore. Today I want to share with you some of my favorite summer memories as well as a tasty treat I have enjoyed multiple times this summer. The treat will come later, for now, take a moment to live vicariously through my summer!
We visited the local slide and had a day of fun in the (rare) sun.
We took family photos:
We spent a day or two of the non-rainy days at the beach and watched the sunset after:
I had the chance to meet Willie Robertson (from Duck Dynasty), Larry The Cable Guy, Colt Ford, and Boo Weekley at the annual Boo Weekley charity golf tournament right here in my little home town:
I enjoyed my first Disney Run, in the wee morning hours at Epcot, and had photo ops with Disney characters and got to ride some of my favorite rides.
I created my very first roller coaster and it was crazy!
One of the last memories I will share (for today, because I will have lots more when I finish up the series around labor day) is two princesses getting their photo together:
All in all, this summer has been full of memories. We have watched movies, made memories, and really made this summer a blast. One of our favorite ways to spend time together at home and talk about our day, play games, etc, is to do it over a meal. One of the tastiest parts of my summer was my Guacamole Dog
- Hebrew National Beef Franks
- 1 whole avocado
- Chopped Tomatoes
- Chopped Onions
- Cook the franks according to package instructions
- After removing avocado from skin, put in bowl and roughly smash with a fork
- Add preferred seasonings (I just use salt and pepper)
- After putting frank into bun, top with guacamole, followed by tomatoes and onions
- **There are no real measurements because you can add or take away depending on how many people are eating.
We love guacamole dogs. They are an easy meal for us to enjoy as a family on night we don’t want to spend a lot of time around the stove but, instead, making memories with each other. In a few weeks we will be headed to Disney for a family vacation and will be sharing all about our Labor Day fun. So keep watch for that.
