With summer here, it’s a given we will spend a lot of time in the water. Whether it’s at the beach or going to a water park our summer days are filled with fun in the sun and water. This summer we got to start off with a bang thanks to Destin Vacation Boat Rentals.
We decided to head to a local spot, Crab Island, for a few hours of snorkeling on our own and then it was time to head to Destin Vacation Boat Rentals for a few hours of jet skiing fun before a sunset cruise on a pontoon!
After lunch, we headed to the boat rental spot, which is located right behind Fisherman’s Wharf in Destin, Florida. It was myself, my husband, my mom and my dad. We were picking up two jet skis to play on for two hours. After meeting, the awesome Mikey (or maybe it’s Mikie), we signed our wavers and put on our lifejackets and then it was time to have fun.
Having been quite a little while since I had driven a jet ski, I let the hubby drive us first. What I loved about the jet skis available were they were 3 seaters. So, even though we had limited time, we were able to accomodate everyone who wanted to ride since we could fit more on each jet ski. It was so much fun speeding through the water (carefully of course) and circling the famous Crab Island. Each jet ski had plenty of storage for different sized life jackets so you could accomodate all sizes who wanted to ride.
After our fun, my husband and I drove the jet skis back to Destin Vacation Boat Rentals to swap out for one of their pontoon boats to enjoy a sunset cruise. With a great fleet to choose from, you will definitely be able to have one that fits your group, up to 14 people. The minute I stepped onto the boat I noted how roomy it was and just how much you would be able to take with you for an all day excursion.
With storage for life jackets, under the seat storage, these boats are made for full day boating fun. My husband was the captain and we headed over to Crab Island to anchor so the kids could swim and have fun at the famous spot for gathering. After a bit of swimming we were ready to cruise around the harbor and watch the sunset while relaxing on this beautiful boat.
Whether you are looking for an all day adventure or just a few hours to escape, Destin Vacation Boat Rentals has you covered. Along with pontoons and jet skis they also offer fishing boats, power boats, sailboats, fishing poles, snorkel gear, and of course tubes/skis for your ultimate in water fun. I am definitely hoping to check out some of their other boats.
Check out their site for more information on rates, fishing charters and just to learn more about this company that is locally run and owned. If you are ever in the gulf coast area and want the full “on the water” experience, be sure to contact Destin Vacation Boat Rentals! I know I have some plans in mind for after the summer rush is through!
Have you ever been on a pontoon boat or jet ski?
