**Thank you to Disney for bringing me out and covering most expenses during the entire trip. Opinions are my personal views**
Monday night was another “what dreams are made of” kind of night. After a full day, we had another chance to attend a movie premiere. This time the Marvel fan girl in me was clawing her way out. It was time to attend the Thor: The Dark World Red Carpet Premiere!! As a mom with two boys, there are a lot of action movies and Marvel has become a big part of our household, so to be able to walk the red carpet alongside the actors who play our favorite comic book characters was unreal!
Before we headed to the El Capitan Theatre, we had to stop and take our photo on the Oscar stairs…do you know how many celebrities have walked these stairs…this group of bloggers definitely rocked it out like celebrities!
A good night starts with a good pair of shoes, and a shoe shot on the red carpet of course. Fans were lining the streets for a glimpse of their favorite actors, whom I noticed took the time to sign autographs and take photos with fans. That to me, speaks volumes. I was already impressed with the actors hospitality, so to speak, from our interviews, but you’ll have to wait to read about that next week.
You could not walk a foot without seeing someone from the movie, our favorite Disney channels shows, and lots of other entertainment areas. Jaimie Alexander, Chris Hemingsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Zachary Levi, Kat Dennings, I could go on and on. They were there…and so was I….Who in the world can say they were next to those people? Okay, well, the other 24 bloggers, Marshall, Gabby, and whoever else was invited, but you get my drift. Along the red carpet, I had to stop and pose, you know me, never one to turn down a photo op and the night would not be complete without a photo alongside my amazing friend Mellisa from Mom Luck!
We had such a fun time walking the red carpet and eyeballing the celebrities, I could have stayed out there all night. However, the red carpet wasn’t the only reason for being at the El Capitan that night, I was FINALLY going to get to see Thor: The Dark World. My heart beating in anticipation…would this be as good as the first movie? I grabbed my popcorn, drink, and 3D glasses and headed to my seat and then the movie started!
IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I have to say I may have liked it better than the first. I don’t want to give too much away because I want to urge each and every one of you to go see it. I will say the action packed film held my attention every second and had me on the edge of my seat quite a few times. I laughed, there were some hysterical parts in the movie, one part in particular had me in stitches.
I also cried, like ugly cry, trying not to let anyone hear me cry. There were twists and turns and things you will not expect. The actors and actresses in Thor: The Dark World were phenomenal and I honestly can’t say one thing negative about any of their performances. The movie was so amazing I could not wait for today, when it opened nationwide, so I can head to theaters to see it again. Yep, I sure will be dealing with opening weekend crowds…it is that good!!
Oh and I became instantly cool to my daughter, as I was able to get photographed with Debby Ryan on the way out….
Keep up with all things Thor:
**Also, a big thank you to Bare Minerals, Fusion Day Spa & Salon, and Simply Dresses for products/services provided for this event.**
