We’ve all seen something similar to this….
It’s the never ending battle of the networks. The question is, which one really reigns supreme. I’ve been using my Samsung Galaxy S III on the Verizon network for the last three months while still using my current AT&T phone on their network.
One commercial/ad will claim to have better coverage and then when you turn the channel you hear the other company claiming to have better coverage…so which one reigned supreme. Here are some things I found out while using them side by side:
- Verizon did seem to have less dropped calls in major cities. There is nothing worse than a dropped call in the middle of a conversation.
- AT&T drops less calls when I am in my area (and other small areas). Where I live it seemed AT&T outranked Verizon. Now whether that was the network or the phone I can’t say.
- Internet speed. Verizon won this one hands down. When I loaded certain apps and web pages (in chrome) side by side, Verizon loaded at a much faster speed. It was seconds later for the AT&T network to load and sometimes it wouldn’t load at all.
So who really is the better carrier? At certain times Verizon reigned supreme and other time it was AT&T although with the side by side app and internet usage Verizon edges out AT&T but is it enough to make this mom switch? Guess you’ll have to watch for my wrap up post on Monday to find out, plus I’ll be sharing some of my favorite games on the Galaxy S III.
Until then make sure to check out the first four posts I did during this ambasadorship:
Which carrier do you think reigns supreme??
