This is a partnered post with Walmart Grocery to let you know that Walmart Grocery is now available in the Orlando area! All opinions are my own! Gear up for your holiday meals with Walmart Grocery!
The holidays are in full swing which means you are likely to be hosting a meal at your home or attending a meal at someone’s house where you will bring a side or dessert. Walmart Grocery is the perfect way to get your shopping done without having to fight the crowds. We will be in Texas for Christmas this year, but this weekend we want to make a small dinner with our family here before we all go out of town. So, we are all making a dish, and our family will be making the turkey. Because I don’t want to fight the crowds that our local Walmart seems to have every day this time of the year, I was thrilled to be able to shop online for the turkey!
I head to Walmart Grocery and start my shopping. Whether I am picking up a $30 order (because it’s the minimum you have to order) or $200 order (and yes I have actually done my household food shopping and spent that easily) I love that I can shop without the hassle of going into the store and I can pick a time that works for my schedule to pick it up!
The online ordering is so simple, you can either look through categories or type in the search bar what you are looking for. Please note, the selection is not as big as it is in store, but so far we haven’t had any issues. You can order packaged, frozen or fresh foods. I adore that it’s not just canned items, they go to the fresh foods and pick out the produce for you!
Once you’ve shopped for your holiday meal you make sure your order is correct, you choose your pick up location (see the bottom of the post for all the new Orlando area stores offering the Walmart Grocery service)!
Once you’ve selected your pickup location, reserve your time slot (now you can’t always get it on the same day so please plan accordingly!)
Finally, you will pick a payment method (either one that is connected to your account or enter a new one)
Once you’ve ordered, you will receive a confirmation on the screen as well as the email you are registered with!
Once you’ve ordered and know your time slot, you are ready to go. Walmart Grocery will call you about 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up time to remind you it’s grocery day! For my last order, they called me an hour early; I guess due to it not being busy that day. Once you receive the call, make sure to arrive in your time slot, and pull in the Walmart Grocery area into one of the numbered spaces.
Call the number on your space and let them know you’ve arrived, then voila your groceries are brought out and loaded into your car! It’s seriously the easiest way to shop for groceries for the holidays (or any time of the year). This time when I went, I was treated to a little bag of goodies
That was a nice surprise! While Walmart does their best to get the brands you order, sometimes they run out of that brand, but don’t worry they will substitute it with something comparable, and if it cost more, you get the lower price! I love that they do that!
The holidays are stressful enough, why not save yourself a little sanity and let Walmart do the shopping for you. Make some memories with your family in the hour (or five) it may have taken you to shop for your groceries. The service is free, you get fresh items, you save time, and of course get the Walmart every day low price! Why not be a #GroceryHero and use Walmart Grocery! I promise you will not want to go shopping in store again (if you can avoid it)
